We are on a mission to effectively coordinate the human and financial resources in the national community to execute necessary initiatives in specific focus areas that will advance the interests of the Muslim Community in the United States of America. Our vision is to be proactive leaders in community building and development by being the team that focuses on planning and executing strategic initiatives that can advance the interests of the Muslim Community on all levels.
Whether it is your first time or tenth, experiencing Ziyara with Mainstay is one of a kind. Join us for a spiritual retreat in Iraq — the Cradle of Civilization and the Home of the Shrine Cities: Najaf, Karbala, Kadhimiya and Samarra.
The D.R.I.V.E. Retreat is intended to be a fulfilling summer experience that aims to empower high school students and instill in them a sound sense of identity that will help build their self-esteem and bring a greater sense of self-worth.
The Najaf Retreat is an initiative that was first started in 2016 by the Mainstay Foundation. It gives an opportunity for young leaders in our communities to be exposed to the rich Islamic heritage in Iraq by visiting the Holy Shrines and connecting with scholars in the Islamic Seminary in Najaf.
Maintaining a strong relationship with the scholars of the Islamic Seminary is vital to our work. By building that relationship we are able to seek their guidance and keep them updated on the work and progress of the community.
The annual Muharram program is near and dear to the heart of the community. It started in 2015 and with the Never Forget Campaign, a 10-day interactive presentation that attracted over a thousand attendees on a nightly basis – the vast majority being youth ages 13 to 19.
The Mainstay Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to foster and facilitate growth and progress in the Muslim community in the United States by coordinating the human and financial resources.
Our goal is to hold dedicated surveys to assess and understand public opinion within the Shi’a American community. These surveys help provide a pulse of what is going on in the community and what its members feel regarding particular relevant issues.
The (SHP) is a research and outreach program of the Mainstay Foundation centered on surveying the center leadership within the national network of Shi’a American centers and organizations across the continental United States.
