The Mainstay Foundation Professional Networks – Our Purpose
The Mainstay Foundation Professional Networks are member-led communities that bring together practitioners, students, and institutional leaders across disciplines and cities to share expertise and co-build practical initiatives. Anchored in the Foundation’s mission, these networks function as communities of practice that connect fields, from AI and healthcare to education, entrepreneurship, law & policy, and nonprofit administration so good ideas become real programs, ventures, research, and services that advance people, strengthen organizations, and serve the American Shia Muslim community.
The Mainstay Foundation Professional Networks – Our Vision
We established these networks to turn scattered talent into coordinated impact. By aligning human and financial resources behind strategic, values-driven work, the networks amplify ethical leadership and representation, improve public services, and expand opportunity. The result is community benefit on two fronts:
- The broader American public, through job creation, innovation, civic capacity, education pipelines, and public health.
- Our faith community, through stronger institutions, principled practice, a unified voice informed by diverse expertise, and a sustained talent pipeline for service.
The Mainstay Foundation Professional Networks – Our Mission
They will operate with disciplined, collaborative rhythms: themed working groups that run quarterly sprints, recurring roundtables and workshops to solve problems in real time, and a shared platform with a resource library, member directory, and project marketplace to match talent, partners, and funding.
Cross-network collaborations will tackle priority challenges, supported by micro-grants and clear ethics/privacy reviews, while impact tracking (access, adoption, outcomes, advancement) ensures accountability and learning. Flagship gatherings such as ENGAGE will align priorities and scale what works, building a clear ladder for the next generation to discover, skill up, apply, lead, and give back.
