Experience Muharram Convention is a transformative 13-day convention commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (as). Join a diverse, nationwide community for spiritual reflection, educational workshops, and cultural commemorations. THE THEME
This year’s theme, “i belong.,” truly captures the deep connection Muslims feel with Imam Husayn (a). As we gather during Muharram, we are continuously reminded of the profound sense of belonging that connects us to his enduring legacy. The lessons of Karbala, with their emphasis on sacrifice, justice, and unwavering faith, inspire us to strengthen and unify our own communities to cultivate environments where each and every community member feels a personal connection to Imam Husayn (a). Our Youth Programs are designed to engage young minds with age-appropriate activities that instill the values of Muharram. We offer tailored programs for different age groups:
- Boys (9-14 years): Interactive sessions and activities focusing on the lessons of Karbala, leadership, and community building.
- Girls (9-14 years): Engaging workshops and discussions led by women, focusing on the significance of Muharram.
- Kids (6-8 years): Interactive and educational activities including storytelling, arts and crafts, and simple lessons about Imam Husayn (as) and his companions.
- Kids (4-5 years): Engaging activities that introduce young children to Muharram through stories, latmiyas, and creative play.

Recap: Experience Muharram 2023
The 2023 Experience Muharram convention was a resounding success, featuring over 20 workshops that delved into various aspects of Islamic teachings and the significance of Muharram. More than 10 distinguished speakers shared their insights, enriching the experience for all attendees. With programming running from 12 PM to 12 AM, the convention offered a full day of engaging activities, lectures, and interactive sessions that left a lasting impact on the community.
