Students will also learn basic saving and investing principles, how to plan for short term and long term goals, and how to avoid common financial traps that prevent people from building stability and wealth.

This offering is ideal for students and young adults who want a practical understanding of money before entering or early in the workforce. It is for anyone who wants to build strong financial habits, understand how income and credit work, and avoid costly mistakes. Parents who want their children equipped with real life financial skills, as well as individuals seeking a clear foundation for responsible money management, would also benefit from this class.

Ali Younes

My name is Ali Younes. I am a mortgage professional, business owner, and sales leader based in Dearborn, Michigan. I have spent over a decade in finance, real estate, and lending, where I focus on helping families understand money, credit, debt, and long-term financial planning. I currently lead and train a large team of mortgage bankers, with a strong focus on education, discipline, and ethical decision-making. A major part of my role is teaching young professionals how income, spending, credit, and investing decisions made early in life shape their future outcomes. My passion for financial literacy comes from seeing how many people, especially young adults, enter adulthood without basic knowledge of budgeting, taxes, credit scores, or wealth-building principles. I believe financial education should start early and be taught in a practical, values-based way. My goal in teaching is to give youth clear, real-world tools they can apply immediately, while emphasizing responsibility, intentional decision-making, and building a stable future for themselves and their families.
