About the Sisters Circle

Sister Circles is a biweekly support group for 18+ Shia Muslim young women that provides a safe, faith-based space to connect, reflect, and grow together. The group encourages open dialogue on personal, social, and spiritual challenges while fostering sisterhood, self-development, and empowerment through shared experiences. Each session centers around meaningful discussions, journaling, and interactive activities that connect Islamic teachings, especially from the lives of Ahlul Bayt (a), to everyday life. Guided by empathy and mutual support, Sister Circles helps participants strengthen their mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being while building a strong community rooted in faith and purpose.

About Our December 1st, 2025 Event

Join us for a thoughtful and engaging session featuring Shaykh Aous Asfar, who will lead a conversation on Science, Islam, and the Question of Evolution. In a warm and welcoming setting, attendees will have the chance to explore how Islamic tradition interacts with scientific discovery, what our faith teaches us about the concept of evolution, and how we can confidently guide our children through these discussions in today’s world. Shaykh Aous will offer grounded, faith-centered insights, followed by an open Q&A where participants can reflect, engage, and deepen their understanding in a relaxed, conversational atmosphere.
