Students will learn how to appropriately paraphrase, cite sources, and create a reference list to uphold academic integrity. Students will learn the fundamental elements of APA formatting, including title pages, running heads, and page margins. Students will master the art of in-text citations according to APA guidelines. Students will learn to effectively use headings and subheadings to organize and structure their APA papers. Students will gain proficiency in creating and formatting tables and figures following the APA guidelines.
Hajj Haidar Mazen is an academic educator, translator, and language consultant. He holds a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in English with double minors in history and Arabic from the University of Texas at Arlington. Haidar has been immersed in education since 2008, working in various capacities as a tutor, teacher, and administrator. He currently teaches advanced English, AP Seminar, and AP Research at an early college high school in Arlington, TX. Additionally, Haidar serves as the principal of Imam Ali Islamic School, focusing on the instruction of The Holy Quran, Islamic Studies, and the Arabic language.
