The research development arm of the organization conducts periodical surveys assessing public opinion within the American Muslim community. These surveys help provide a pulse of what is going on in the community and what its members feel regarding particular relevant issues. Some of the areas that the surveys have focused on include: drug abuse in the American Muslim community, Muslim women in the community, American Muslim familiarity with political candidates and voting plans, American Muslim community efforts in the United States, and top concerns for American Muslims living in the United States.
We often get feedback from members of the community on what they believe should be assessed and examined, in addition to our consultation with our panel of experts. These surveys are an essential tool in keeping us, as well as the organizational and community leaders across our national network, informed on the pulse of the community. It is essential in assisting leadership towards informed decision-making as well as working towards long-term strategies in serving the community.
