As part of a school initiative to increase awareness and educate students about the challenges facing their American Muslim neighbors, U of D Jesuit High School held an event for its Junior and Senior classes with guest speakers Jalal Moughania and Denise Abdullah. While Denise Abdullah focused on the personal challenges of an American-Muslim mother raising Muslim men in America, Jalal Moughania focused on the principles that guide Muslim thought and action as inclusive members of their society. A dozen of young men came up to the speakers after the program expressing their gratitude for offering a true Muslim perspective and educating them about Muslims and Islam. The Mainstay Foundation was proud to partner with U of D Jesuit in this event and thanks the academy for doing such great work with their students.
