hajj Mohamed Ali Banoon
Hajj Mohamed Ali Banoon is Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Mainstay Foundation. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University Law School and is also a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelors in Political Science and Economics. He has served a number of nonprofit organizations for over several years in various capacities, where he has been using his legal and analytical skills to advance his communities. Banoon is a practicing attorney and partner at the AT Law Group, PLLC based in Dearborn, Michigan.
Hajj Wissam Bazzi
Hajj Wissam Bazzi is the Vice President of Business Development at OSP (Open Source Provider), a service provider company based in Livonia, MI. He is also the director of a marketing company and multimedia studio based in Michigan. He spearheaded the “It’s Ramadan” Commercial Campaign which launched on cable television through Comcast reaching hundreds of thousands of viewers around the country. He is currently pur-suing his academic studies in the field of neuropsychology and is a lecturer and motivational speaker in the community.
Syed Shabeer Kirmani
An Award Winning Poet, Public Speaker, Data Scientist, and Activist, Syed Shabeer Kirmani, has a keen ability to communicate and disseminate information and ideas enthusiastically to his respective audience throughout his lectures and talks. Shabeer is active in the Florida community, having served on multiple management committees, as well as teaching & mentoring at institutes throughout the region. Shabeer was co-founder of the Ahlul-Bayt Society at UCF, and served as President and Vice President of the Society.
He also teaches at the Islamic Education Center in Orlando. He has a diverse professional background with work in Finance, Consulting, and Informatics, most recently working as a Data Scientist in the Defense & Space sector. He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida (UCF), having a Bachelor’s in Economics with dual minors in Mathematics & Computer Science, and a Master’s in Engineering also from UCF. He is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Shabeer hopes to inspire others to be their best, through his actions & words.
Sayyid Mohamed Jaafar
Sayyid Mohamed Jaafar is an active member of the New Jersey community where he leads programs and lectures at the Ghadeer Benevolent Foundation amongst other centers and institutions. The Sayyid began his introductory Islamic studies at the Imam Hussain Foundation’s Islamic Seminary in Windsor, Ontario. Moreover, the Sayyid is an entrepreneur and an educator teaching in the public schools district of his area.
Sheikh Hanif Mohammed
Sheikh Hanif Mohammed is a mental health professional in Atlanta, GA. He is the founder of Inviting to the Straight Path., an organization whose main emphasis is on helping Muslims and non-Muslims alike gain a better understanding of Islam. Sheikh Hanif is also involved in inter and intra-faith dialogue in programs and functions across the country. Well versed in both Islamic and biblical texts, he is a frequent and well established lecturer on an array of social and religious topics.
Sheikh Ali Moughania
Sheikh Ali Moughania is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Columbia University. After earning a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan, he moved to the Holy City of Najaf to study in the Islamic seminary. There he completed the study of Usul al-Fiqh by Shaykh al-Muthaffar, several books of the multi-volume Sharh al-Lum’aa, courses on rational and religious Theory of Knowledge, and Nihayat al-Hikmah in metaphysics, as well as other related studies. Back in the U.S, he continues his studies with the professors of the seminary by correspondence, as he dedicates time to research, public speaking and academics.
hajj Jalal Moughania
Hajj Jalal Moughania is a practicing attorney and counselor at law. He is a partner at the AT Law Group based in Michigan, where he focuses on the firm’s business law practice. Moughania holds a J.D. in Law and a B.A. in Political Science and Psychology. He serves as the Deputy Director at the Mainstay Foundation. Moughania is also a researcher, writer, and lecturer on topics related to Muslim-American identity, civic society, and Islamic thought.
Sheikh Hamam Nasserdine
Sheikh Hamam Nasserdine is a resident scholar at the Imam Hussain Foundation in Windsor, Ontario and a student of its Islamic Seminary under the supervision of Sheikh Abdelminim Sharara. He is the director of English programming at the foundation and works closely with the youth group of the center to ensure sound wholesome functions and programs for the youth. He is also a teacher at the foundation’s hawza/seminary program, where he teaches courses in jurisprudence and ethics.
Sayyid Abathar Tajaldeen
Sayyid Abathar Tajaldeen is the Executive Director of the Maintay Foundation, overseeing the organization’s six major initiatives. He has been involved in non-profit religious and educational work for over ten years. He has led some of the largest events and programs held for Muslims in the City of Dearborn, through organizing and coordinating the collaborated efforts of dozens of community organizations. Tajaldeen is also an instructor for Islamic classes and a lecturer for major programs in the community. He holds a J.D. from Wayne State University and a B.A. in Political Science and Economics.
