A radio host who calls himself “America’s favorite Redneck Muslim Libertarian” plans to move to Keene to open the city’s first mosque.

William Coley, who lives in Knoxville, Tenn., said he expects to open the Masjid al-Latiff and Interfaith Community Center in a property on Route 101 in early October.

In addition to providing a permanent prayer space for area Muslims, Coley said, the mosque will open its doors to other minority faiths that need a place to worship. In the winter, he said, it will provide a warming station with computer access for the homeless.
