The Mainstay Leadership Project

We are proud to announce the launch of The Mainstay Leadership Project, a new educational personal development program that aims to develop our future leaders through authentic, creative, and engaging learning experiences. This project comprises of various programs including: (1) Little Leaders for ages 5-10, (2) Lady Leaders for ages 9-14, and (3) Junior Leaders for ages 11-14. Through these three programs that will run this year from September to March, students will learn and engage in many important lessons on faith, morality, the Quran, self-development, and emotional intelligence, which will instill a solid foundation and foster a spirit for personal growth and development.

Description: This course is designed to engage youth ages 5-10 by teaching them important lessons on beliefs, morality, the Quran, the Prophet, the Imams, and more by encouraging active participation, telling stories, discussing lessons learned, and utilizing other methods to instill a love of faith and faithfulness in our future leaders. This program is in partnership with Shield Families.

MY LORD

  • Description: During this term, we will discuss the most important tenet of our faith, the belief in tawhid, the Oneness of God by reading and discussing stories related to His different attributes of perfection.

  • Description: During this term, we will discuss God’s greatest and timeless miracle, the Noble Quran by reading and discussing important lessons mentioned in the Quran from the stories of the Prophets to even the animals God created.

  • Description: During this term, we will discuss the greatest man to have ever lived, the Prophet Muhammad, by reading and discussing the many relevant lessons we can learn from his life, his words, his actions, and his very being.

MY IMAMS

  • Description: During this term, we will discuss the lives of the 12 Imams, the successors to the Prophet. The kids will get to know how the Imams lived their lives as well as draw lessons that they can implement in their daily lives.

Description: This course equips young muslim sisters with the tools needed to become well rounded leaders by addressing topics in jurisprudence, Islamic knowledge, and psycho-sociology.

  • Description: As our holy prophet (s.a.w.s) has narrated “the best act of worship is the waiting of the Faraj”. In this course, we will learn about the leader of our time and how we should prepare for his arrival.

  • Description: A wise person learns from their mistakes but a wiser person learns from the mistakes of others. Let us learn from our elder sisters and what they wish someone would’ve told them when they were your age.

Description: This course is designed to impart fundamental tenets that will empower teenagers to lead a purpose driven life. Through an engaging approach, we will be covering important concepts revolving around faith, relationships, and personal development, as well as how such principles translate in our daily practice.
